OUR HISTORY
In 1998, Mr. Hayes set out to make a difference in the lives of youth all throughout Columbus GA, by providing them with all the tools, resources, and support they need in order to shape them into the leaders of tomorrow. Over the years, Mentoring Youth Services has grown to be the best Youth Organization in the area - offering youth of the community a chance to reach their fullest potential.
THE ORGANIZATION’S MISSION
Founded in 1998, Mentoring Youth Services was established with an aim to provide youth in the greater Columbus GA, area a nurturing environment in which they can embrace their identity and reach their fullest potential. As the leading Youth Organization, we strive to inspire action and support our community’s young people with purposeful programming and devoted mentors.
At Mentoring Youth Services, we care about what we do and hope to develop strong children, families and communities across the city through academic readiness, character development, and social enrichment activities.

Mentoring Youth Services sees the value in providing the city’s youth with all the tools, resources, and support they need in order to reach their potential. Ever since our founding in 1998, we have strived to create a more vibrant and compassionate neighborhood where Mentoring Youth Services is seen as an essential leader in making our city a world-class place to live and raise a family. We go above and beyond to prepare our youth to become responsible, actively engaged global citizens and leaders.
